What's The Deal with the Low Inventory!?
We figured it was time for another Inventory Update! Most the people that have walked into our dealership over the past few months have noticed our empty showroom and have mentioned it to us. Back in January we shared about the problems we're facing in the boating industry with inventory shortages due to increased demand. If you read the post, you'll remember us stating "If you want a boat for the 2021 boating season, you're going to want to start looking, and buying, right now." Since publishing that post, our inventory issues have only gotten more complicated.
The entire boating industry is dealing with reduced and delayed inventory levels due to a vast array of problems, including but not limited to:
- Unprecedented demand
- Vendor Supply issues
- Shipping delays
- Factory shutdowns
- Increased pricing on materials
- Increased demand on materials
- The Texas freeze shutdown (chemicals/resins)
- Many more
We understand that these shortages and delays are incredibly frustrating. Our goal is to be honest and transparent, which is the main reason for this blog post. We would rather our customers and potential clients be in-the-know about WHY our industry is being affected so heavily, rather than stuck wondering. We also just want to remind you that if you want to secure a boat for late summer 2021, and/or the 2022 season, you need to order now.
We hope that in being transparent, we can maintain our healthy relationships with past and future customers.
We may not have the boat or product you need right now, but what we DO have is: A state-of-the-art Facility, hard working and consistent Service Department, thorough and competent Parts Department, a stocked Pro Shop, a top-notch Detail Shop, multiple Storage Facilities, and much more.
We hope you'll still give us the opportunity to show you the Captain's Marine difference.
