An Inventory Update for 2021/2022 Boats
We know you're sick of the word unprecedented, we all are. But hear us out.
We will never see another year like 2020. We just wont. And that's the truth on many different levels.
In our case here in the boating world, it was truly a year of uncertainty, and unexpected demand.
We went from a normal start, to a great 2020 boat show, to a country-wide shut down, to an absolutely insane swarm of people needing and wanting boats, NOW!
People took notice of the high demand... and then the shortages. We had news stories in the Flathead Beacon and NBC Montana covering the unprecedented spike in boat sales, which was pretty exciting. The abundance in sales was, as everyone liked to say, "a good problem to have".
But by the end of August, our showroom looked something like this:
Many of the "last minuters" never got a chance to get their dream boat, and now it's looking like manufacturers will not be fully caught up until 2022.
We wanted to take this time to not only thank everyone who made it such a great year, but to warn the people we care about that:
If you want a boat for the 2021 boating season, you're going to want to start looking, and buying, right now.
We have a schedule of the boats we have coming in before July 2021 hanging up in our sales office, and in an act of full transparency we are 100% willing to show you that list. Because we want to make sure everyone is at least equipped with the knowledge they need and deserve in order to make smart buying decisions.
We had record sales in December 2020 (and we were only open for 17 days that month). And we just keep seeing new records being accomplished. Even with the election. Even with no boat show. Even with very little inventory.
We want to make it clear that we're here to help.
We're here to be transparent with you on what's coming, and what's simply not going to happen.
We're here to be honest, even if it's saying "You know what, we cannot make that happen this year, but here are 3 other options".
We're here to tell you that we're doing everything we can to get every interested person out on the water this summer, including searching for potential new brands to take on, and/or high quality trades and consignments to take in.
And as always, our biggest goal is to get you on the water every summer, and keep you out there for as long as possible.
