5 Important Reminders Before Heading to the Lake
We're looking forward to some gorgeous weather in the Flathead Valley over the next few weeks.
We hope you're getting the boat ready to spend some much needed time out on the water, but first, please brush up on these important tips!
1. Refresh on Boat Launch Etiquette
We understand the Boat Launch can be a stressful place, which is why we've attached the video below. Please watch it to brush up on your skills.
2. Check Your Batteries BEFORE Leaving the House
There's not much you can do about a dead boat battery once you're at the lake!
3. Test Run Your Boat at Home
Using a Flushing Attachment is the best way to ensure your boat runs before leaving the house! We sell them in our Pro Shop. *Not applicable for some boats*
4. Stage & Prep Your Boat in a Parking Spot
Or at home, but NOT in the ramp line! Remove the cover, load in all your gear, and be ready for an efficient launch (and look like a pro doing it).
5. Put Your Drain Plug(s) In!
As part of our Summerize Checklist, as well as AIS prevention, we remove all drain plugs. Please make sure they're installed before you launch, and remember to remove them again when you leave the lake. (CLEAN. DRAIN. DRY.)
Bonus Tip - DON'T FORGET YOUR TIE DOWNS
Remember; your boat should float when you back in, not your trailer!
MOST IMPORTANT: HAVE A FUN & SAFE SUMMER!
